About Rebecca

Rebecca is a family mediator on the Northern Beaches and  has worked in this field for the last 9 years in various capacities, including:

Family Mediator,
Child Consultant,
Conflict Coach, and
Collaborative Practitioner.
Rebecca is an Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She is registered with the Attorney General's Department. and as such can issue s60I certificates.

Rebecca completed her Masters in Social Work at The University of Sussex in 1989 and did further training in Family Therapy in 1993. Prior to Family Dispute Resolution, she has over 20 years experience working therapeutically with children and families in a number of different settings: child protection, adolescent counselling, family counsellor for parents with under 5's to name but a few. She is skilled at working with families from all backgrounds and complexity.
Rebecca will help you put in place the best possible agreements around all aspects of your situation, including:
Parenting arrangements,
Property negotiations,
Children's expenses,
Important decisions around education, health and culture, and
Contact with grandparents.
As a mother of 2 girls, Rebecca is passionate about the best interests of children after separation. In 2008, in a previous role, she co-authored a course for parents experiencing entrenched conflict post separation. This course has been positively evaluated by Newcastle University to show that it makes a significant difference in changing parental attitudes and behaviours, and comes highly recommended by both The Family Court and The Federal Circuit Court.
Rebecca also works with lawyers and financial consultants as a Collaborative Practitioner for those parents who wish to resolve the legal, financial and emotional needs that arise from separation in one, integrated process.
Rebecca is a member of The Resolution Institute, The Association of Dispute Resolvers.
